"Our daughters have been dancing at Backstage Academy of Dance since the age of 3. Over the last 10 years dance has taught them discipline, responsibility and self esteem. These traits will be carried with them throughout life. We love Backstage and the instructors for all the time and effort they give to teaching dance. Our favorite time of year is being a part of the Nutcracker. Backstage is a great asset to our community!"

We have been attending Backstage Academy of Dance for 23 years now and have thoroughly enjoyed it!!
My Sister started when she was 3 years old, now in her mid 20's she teaches as well as participates in different classes.
My daughter has been attending dance recitals and the production of the Nutcracker that Backstage performs every year since I was pregnant with her.
My daughter started dancing at the studio when she was 2 1/2 years old and has never stopped. She loves it!! She has gone a step further and is a part of The Backstage Dance Company where she has competed with her fellow company dancers at various dance competitions in the Bay Area and Sacramento, attended dance conventions with instructors from SYTYCD, and performed at local events including basketball games at CSUS.
We as a family have enjoyed all aspects of Backstage and have appreciated all that the teachers have taught our daughter. It's not just a dance studio with teachers, it's a 2nd home to the dancers and becomes a part of your family as it definitely has with ours!!"

"Dance is life, and we 'live' at Backstage.  My daughter has been happily dancing under the instruction of Kristi Garcia and her many talented teachers (which include two of her children) since she was 3 ½ - she is about to turn 11!  She has been exposed to all genres of dance at Backstage, and has truly developed an appreciation for all of them.  There are always opportunities to develop and improve skill and technique, and it’s always done in a positive and encouraging manner.
We greatly appreciate the creativity that Kristi cultivates through music and choreography, and her eye for artistry never disappoints when viewing her productions of the Nutcracker at Christmas time and, of course, spring recital.  Kristi has undeniable passion for dance, and we are grateful that she works so hard to instill that in her students.
Summer dance just recently concluded, and the fall session will begin right after Labor Day.  My daughter can hardly wait – she says a week is too long without dance.  With that said, we wouldn’t dream of dancing anywhere else."
